Why would they waste their time doing that bollocks? Surely if they were going to do that they would have chosen somebody more high profile than Simon Cox. :102:

What a club is prepared to pay is only a vague guide as to the quality of the player.

I am sure Pearson and Walsh put a realistic bid forward.

Clubs will often pay 'silly' money if they want a particular player - us for Akinbyi, Liverpool for Heskey, Man City for anybody!
 
What Milan saying that he had made a bid for a player when he hadn't or making a bid that is so feeble that its laughed at ??!! just so we think that at least we tried to sign the player... No,he would never do a thing like that.....
