sorry if i am 'promoting piracy', i am not intentionally doing so, if the forum will suffer i will stop making comments about it then.

But anyway without piracy, there would be a monopoly within the industry, music, films, games ect and they could get away with charging whatever they liked as the is no threat of a 'cheaper' substitute product.

That's trade in general, nothing specific to the entertainment industry.

It is up to the retailers/resellers etc to be more competitive by dropping their prices if they wish to. Every product has a value and as long as people will pay in the region of £10 for a CD and £40 for a game, then why should they drop their prices.

They have to make a living, they too have have wives and children to support. Just because they have more than us, doesn't give us license to steal from them
