According to the Mail, us and Forest are in for him, with Everton keen to sell so they can bring in Daniel Sturridge, but Beckford not being so keen.

Also says Everton would rather keep Beckford and sell Yakubu.

Of course he wants to stay at Everton. He is playing for a well established premiership club (a "big club" if you will) where he can potentially establish himself as being a top striker.

We can't really compete with that right now and any move to the championship is a big big risk. Reading showed us that it isn't going to be a stroll to get promoted. We are going to have to work a lot harder. On the evidence so far can we even say that we are playing well enough to be considered promotion contenders (I do appreciate that we have only two games so it is pretty hard to say for sure)?
