That Madeleine was left alone for x amount of minutes, I have never known a parent to be so careless with their children. It's normally the case that parents can be overzealous in their care and protection of the child.

I have just checked the spelling of 'premise' - it seems the way I have used can only be applied to film. Strange.

Your use of 'premise' is perfectly correct. It's just that I wasn't clear which of the many premises surrounding the case that you were referring to.

I wonder if this is true if I will get any apologies for the slating I took in the other thread when I said they were essentially bad parents for leaving the kids alone in the first place. Also I hope the Portuguese police get the credit they deserve for not just bowing down to the media in the way our force would have done. I don’t think this crime would have been solved if it had occurred on British soil.

Nope and never said it had just saying I don’t think it would ever have been solved if it had been on British soil as the press would have been able to interfere much more than they have been allowed to in Portugal.

Have to agree there. Plus, it is the British Police forensic science bods that appear to have come up with the supposed new evidence the Portugese have.

it takes a 100 or so days to find out that the parents might have something to do with, also they have travlled the world, and how the heck would madeleine get everywhere wouldnt see need a passport???? the airports are stricter then ever so i cant see her travelling everywhere with this kidnapper, the parents have agreed for this to happen and i think they are gulity...but the question is why did they do this?????

In some ways I agree that the press have had a field day but they haven’t been able to get as close to the police investigation as they would have been able to in this country and I think that is a major factor.

Although he perhaps didn't express it in the best way it does seems to be a general undercurrent feeling at the moment, a lot of people I know are a tad suspicious, albeit based on nothing.

There appears to be some evidence now - blood stains in the hotel room and a Mum being treated as a suspect.

Apparently, there are questions that the police have for the mother that can't be asked unless she is declared as a suspect. So it could still be nothing.

I've always thought there was something dodgy, Well educated caring parents do not leave their children alone in a foreign country, no matter how far away your bluddy restaurant is from the hotel.
