A percentage of the people who are damning the signing of Douglas IF it happens have probably seen him play once or twice.Don't take any notice of what Celtic etc fans say on Message Boards watch him play and then by all means form an opinion.I've seen him play a lot, living up here, and like I said he's not that bad.Name me one Keeper who doesn't make mistakes?

Or...

Douglas

Maybury Sylla McCarthy Stewart

Hughes Williams Kisnorbo Tiatto

Connolly Dublin...

Quite why you would want to play Sylla as a centre back is beyond me.....

OK, well, he can play there you know, bum raider.

can he? dont think ive ever seen him at centre back. seen him at right back, but not at centre back

He played there for St Johnston a lot, which is why O'Neil bought him.

Err nope! Left sided midfielder or wing back.

Fair enough - BBC got it wrong then, I'm no expert on Scottish football!

It's alright Alex, not everyone in the world knows as much about Scottish football as Berti Vogts.

Maybury-----McCarthy-----Dublin--------Stewart

?--------------Hughes-------Kisnorbo----- Tiatto

---------------?----------Connolly------------

For the question marks, I would really like to see McAnuff and Sam Parkin (or Pawel Abbott), think that would give us a good balanced side. Not sure about Stewart, hopefully Sheehan can progress quickly to take the LB berth, or we make a signing.

LCFC TILL I DIE

I don't think CL will consider Dublin as a starter next season, even if he does start, I think CL will prefer to play Dublin up front. If we are unable to bring in any center backs, I think Stearman will start reverting back to his familiar position.

Douglas
Maybury
McCarthy
New Player
Stewart/New Player
Hughes
Williams
Kisnorbo
Tiatto/Stewart
Connolly
MDV/New Player

Back ups: Dublin, Sheehan, Dawson, Gudjonson, New Keeper, O'Grady
If still here: Heath, Canero.

HEATH IS A LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I admire your loyalty to Matt Heath but CL was on the radio recently saying that Heath was not good enough for the Championship. Heath will leave the Club this Summer. :D :D  ;-)

whys he selling heath
i reckon they fell out
heath is leicester through an through till he dies
he gives a hundred percent every time he plays and hes dangerous from set pieces, hes scored a bout 7 goals in 3 years its not bad for a defender he remineds me of matty elliott
i reckon that he could be used for gary mcsheffrey in a swap deal
i hope he dont go

CRAIG LEVEIN GIVE A CHANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LCFC TILL I DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

whys he selling heath

He is not transfer listed, it is just speculation at present, He doesnt want to go.

i reckon they fell out

They have not fallen out, he is out of favour

heath is leicester through an through till he dies

Fair point

he gives a hundred percent every time he plays

True

He remineds me of matty elliott

Sadly hes not that good yet.

i reckon that he could be used for gary mcsheffrey in a swap deal

Possibly

i hope he dont go

So do I

CRAIG LEVEIN GIVE A CHANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree

The problem with Sticks is that he modelled his playing style on Dabizas, which is not a good thing as dabs is pants. He needs to go back to playing his own game in his own style. He is only 23 and still has the time to learn from the likes of Dublin if he was given the chance to.[/quote]

I like Heath too, but I agree with Levein on this one. His exact wording was that Heath was far too slow! That was Leveins only major criticism, and the reason why he shouldn't get in the team next year. We need pace at the back, so that we can take the game to teams...If your centre backs are slow then you have to camp on the edge of your area all game...hence we don't get forward...hence we don't score goals.

Levein is after two big strong pacey defenders! And most certainly a forward! Dublin will not be starting many games either.

As for big Rab...it's like for like with him and Walker! They are similar players so I'm not too bothered.

It made me laugh that people criticise him for 'losing' Celtic the European cup final! People forget that he played in goal for every single game that got them there in the first place. Everyone makes mistakes, even Ian Walker (remeber Bolton when he let the ball through his legs :-x ), but thats the nature of being a goalkeeper...if anything they take the most stick.

Lets just see what happens and not get too carried away yet!

People will always remember Goalkeepers mistakes and easily forget the good 'solid' type performances.I have no problem with Douglas,he's not great but we are Leicester City we aren't going to attract a World Class keeper.Still not convinced he'll be coming here though,if Celtic do release him then he will have options and not just us.
