The hysterically annoying and totally unfounded, but traditional, Summer 2024 rumours thread.

New thread for new nonsense.

This one reckons that we won't allow Sevilla to sign Soumare so they may well sign Ndidi for nothing instead.

Sounds utterly believable due to being ran by complete ****ing buffoons

On the BBC's rumours page:
Leicester City have entered the race to sign Arsenal's 24-year-old English striker Eddie Nketiah but face competition from Crystal Palace and Brentford. (Football Transfers)

Seems pretty hard to enter a race when you are banned from getting to the starting line. Or some better metaphor.

This thread seems utterly pointless after the last weeks news.
We can't even register any players at the moment or even offer any existing players new contracts, although that last part is probably a good thing!

Sort of buried in all of this, isn’t it?

What’s most galling is that it essentially guarantees we are watching Vardy’s last matches, whether the club, the player, or the fans like it or not.
Unless we are promoted. The embargo is a football league embargo.

Gives a few of them something to play for!

Yes read that in a Tanner article the other day and the Vardy bit really stings.

More of this bullshit for xx months now.

How the **** does anyone know that a club is tracking a player?
They don’t, necessarily, but it doesn’t take a genius to realise that we might need to sell players and he’s both homegrown, which is particularly good for the books and also, in all likelihood, the player that we could sell for the highest price. It’s one of those stories that could easily be made up and, at the same time, realistic.

But it’s not a story is it?
