Looked a wee bit tasty didn’t he?

Looks like one of those players that always has time. His use of the ball was spot on.

By far the most encouraging sight though was him shouting and pointing to team mates from the first second he was on the pitch. He is a leader and a voice and we need one of those in that midfield.

This guy :love: he is going to kick up a storm and give the manager a headache on how he can play Iborra, Ndidi and Silva in mid, along with Albrighton and Mahrez and Gray

Not sure it's been mentioned earlier but I love it how he has been given squad number 14. Fate or what. :icon mrgreen:

Shirt 14 was left empty when the squad numbers were published before the season started. But with the player being seen as a replacement for Danny Drinkwater, nobody would have been surprised Adrien in the vacated number 4. Putting him in 14 is clearly designed as a reminder of those 14 seconds.

For me, that’s an obvious choice.
I think Puel sees him as someone who will play in the centre in place of Ndidi or Iborra, as evidenced by him substituting James.

Based on his last couple of games he replaces Iborra for me...

Puel's suddenly got some rather nice headaches in front of the defence. It gives him a bit more flex in terms of rotation and the competition is much improved. Slimani did a superb job of stating his case against Huddersfield. He certainly needed it.
I didn't see any of Silva's performance, but he is an exciting signing for a reason..!

I suspect we'll play a 3 of Ndidi, Iborra and Silva with Gray and Mahrez attacking with Vardy

Surely Gray is behind Okazaki and Albrighton (and perhaps Slimani) in the pecking order?
