I was under the impression Mark's Electrical invited him back to do the team, and assumed from that he'd be getting something in return for it.

I stand corrected. The artist, Richard Wilson, says on his FB page that Mark "who owns the shop is funding me to paint the players" and that it is his first paid art job.

When the artist told me he was doing Shinji next, I told him to make sure he was smiling. He did look a little perturbed as he told me that he didn't think the picture he had was of him smiling.

And that was something else I meant to say earlier in the week. He has all the photos on his phone; it looked to be about 2 inches across the screen - a very small one; I think you can just see it in his left hand on one of the photos of him up the ladder.

He must have got them off the OS, where Shinji is also not smiling. Someone needs to get down there to him with a proper photo, or get a young child/grandchild/older geek to upload one to his FB page!

Also, when he has finished, can it have a protective lacquer/clear varnish applied to protect it?

Would not like any rogue Spurs fans in Leicester to spoil it when it is complete!
