A definitive statement there Melts.
I guess MM hasn't had the most constructive of dialogues to date with the spiky Scot but how can you be so sure that he wouldn't be tempted by a fat contract?
It was as a "tongue in cheek" post after something that Desert Fox posted Yesterday.A definitive statement there Melts.

If the Manager is confident in his abilities, this is a great opportunity for anybody.
Yes, but they made the comparison to the Brian Clough/England job.Had your interview yet :icon_lol:

I think you're taking the words of morons too seriously. How does that work then? Ipswich aren't prem and he's under contract until 2011

I think they are saying h can leave for 750k in the last year of his contract, or if a premier team comes in for him. Hence Ipswich would have to pay our asking price of £1.7 million. Not saying its true but the logic follows!
Thought that actually that, that rumour page was more believable than most! Apart from the bloke with the made up name near the bottom!
I'd be delighted with Billy Davies as manager.
I think any rumour machine that can predict nigh on £3m receipts for a combination of DJ, Howard & Fryatt could just lack a little credibility.
If we can scratch together more than £1m for the three of them then it will be a bonus. I realise that it's just a matter of time before someone posts that one or all of them will be scoring goals "for fun" in the 3rd Division - but now we have got rid of hapless 'Ollie' the next requirement alongside a new manager is to start a severe cull of our misfiring strikers who along with bad management secured our relegation. More blood needs to be spilled!
I know they're just rumours, but being linked with Billy Davies, Simon Grayson, Darren Ferguson and Ince etc is making me feel better. They're the favourites with the bookies too it seems, and I'd be happy with any of them. Be good if we can get one of them in.

Agree Graz, i'd take any of those tbh. Probably with Paul Ince being my personal favourite, even though i hated him as a player.

Possibly, but if by some miracle we got Davies then at least one of the reasons for him coming here would be to get the best of Howard and Oakley.
