Jermaine Easter would be a cracking signing.
He and the rest of his defense have done a pretty good job of denying Man City so far. But then again, City are playing like absolute muppets.
The future of Institute midfielder Philip Lowry could be decided in the next 48 hours, with Leicester City poised to make their move for the teenager.
The Foxes are believed to be considering an offer for the 18-year-old who impressed during a one-week trial at the Walkers Stadium earlier this month.
City coach Gerry Taggart has been monitoring Lowry's progress at Drumahoe, but the English League ADVERTISEMENT One side only has until the transfer deadline on Monday to make its move.
Last night Stute boss John Gregg said any potential deal now rested with Leicester, but insisted the player would not be let out on trial.
"There will be no more trials – it isn't fair on the lad," Gregg said.
"But I think we are at the stage now where Leicester will either make their move or any deal will be dead in the water, so we'll monitor the situation over the next 24 to 48 hours.
"Philip is a very educated lad and has just been accepted to Queen's University, so understandably his family want what's best for him.
"What I do know is that Leicester are interested and they have already had a look at Philip. I think the issue has now been taken to Leicester's general manager who will decide on what move they make.
"I have spoken to our chairman and asked him to let me concentrate on matters on the pitch. I don't want to be distracted when we have such important games coming up.
"I'm also looking to add to my squad, so I am constantly searching for available players to bring to Drumahoe. Hopefully the matter will be resolved one way or another over the weekend."
