Or a key ring and fridge magnet with "The Worlds Greates Daddy On". That would mean more to me than a trust membership I'm afraid

If the cap fits...

Leeds are doing a meal, a tour of the ground and you get to score a goal on the pitch...£15 a head, half price for kids...great idea I think.

That is a good idea, I might be tempted into something like that at LCFC

Give em a break, the FT are only trying to help our club.

However a better way to rasie fund would be to produce merchindies with a Leicester logo (past or persent) and the FT logo too.

It might or might not be spamming the forum, but of one thing I am certain - it totally demeans the concept of what a Trust should be. You should join a Trust because you want to be a member and because you share in its aims and objectives - you shouldn't have Trust membership thrust upon you.

Buying somebody else Trust membership just because he's a Leicester-fan is just the same as a granny buying a kid a Chelsea shirt just because he's interested in football - it's all very nice, but it might not be what he really wants.

A cheap effort IMHO.

No, they are not. They are trying to increase the size of their membership. This may give them a greater influence in the running of the club (and it may not). Whether this will help the club is a matter of conjecture.

It achieves both.

Having been in existance for 3 years now, we have our base costs sorted, therefore any additional membership fees will go towards our next investment in LCFC shares.

We aim to invest each year, the level & timing of investment will be increased & brought forward respectively the more members we have.

Their greater aim is to help our club though. OK I agree this is the wrong way about getting membership but you can't deny the cause.

What would the Trust's stand be on the football club itself actively encouraging memberships as gift packages in such a blatant way?

Fact is they are dying on their arse (how many members is it now ?) and are now becoming desperate to attract support. It's quite pitiful to see, to be honest

Where once they were a truly valuable part of dragging this club out of administration, they are now a flacid and impotent waste of space who serve no valid purpose whatsoever (a bit like MK's wedding tackle).

Tragic
