What would the Trust's stand be on the football club itself actively encouraging memberships as gift packages in such a blatant way?

Wouldn't have a problem with it particularly this season, with the parachute payment gone, it needs to maximise money raised.

It isn't cynical, it's just suggesting an idea & many people struggle to think what to buy people.

The club advertise ST's in the Mercury every night.

Fact is they are dying on their arse (how many members is it now ?) and are now becoming desperate to attract support. It's quite pitiful to see, to be honest

Where once they were a truly valuable part of dragging this club out of administration, they are now a flacid and impotent waste of space who serve no valid purpose whatsoever (a bit like MK's wedding tackle).

Tragic

Membership renewals have been good this year. It wasn't desparation, just another way of promoting membership.

Getting a representative on the clubs audit committee is far removed from dying on it's arse, we are the only Trust to achieve this.

After continued lobbying (& the predicted poor sales) we have had admission from the club that the one year kit was a poor decision (as we stated from day one), but changing the signed JJB deal is very problematic

What are season ticket sales like currently?

Yeah, the club keep saying they are very promising, and continue to show promise, but what are the actual figures?

Last we heard it had exceeded 11,000 but that was around mid May, that is slightly ahead of last years based on the discount cut off date

so every kit JJB make has to be on a one-year cycle because it's in a contract?

Season tickets and memberships are not the same thing. You know, as well as I do, that the Club want to increase it's membership. As it stands, there's no benefit in a STH being a member. If that position was to change, all I can assume is the FT wouldn't be bothered that a lot of people would be upset by this.

If it's one of the terms, then yes. And I belive that it is. So much for the Customer Charter.....

The Customer Charter was changed at the same time as the new shirt deal was announced - so, indeed, so much for the Customer Charter.

I know, but how many others even know it exists? You have to do a trawl through the Community section of the OS to find that one out!

It's Bollox this charter gizmo. Design Stuff, Make Stuff, Sell Stuff. If you don't want it or can't afford it, don't buy it.

Too much PC bollox trying to protect us

It's certainly bollocks if it can be changed just because the company doesn't fancy complying with one of its terms any more.

Damn right, squire. If parents can't say no to their kids demanding new kits then society's got bigger problems than football- little wonder kids are so fat these days for starters.

Personally, I can't stand modern football shirts and would bever buy one, I got one of those retro ones about 5 years ago and that's done me fine ever since. It doesn't make me anyless of a fan though does it?

To be honest, I agree with you in principle Melton, but once someone issues a charter promising to do one thing then changing it without any notice, let alone consultation with their "customers", then I'm afraid I take exception to it.

If you get me gist.

Sorry Lee, it wan't aimed at you, I agree with you. It just proves my point even more.

In much the same way that employees demand a contract, it only suits the employer, after all they are the ones that write it, the same as this charter nonsense is only suited towards the people that come up with the bollox

Thats a bit like having raw materials delivered to one site instead of two without consulting the transport manager isnt it lee?
