Not exactly prolific recently - last season 3 goals in 29 games, season before 3 in only 13 games because of injury problems. I am not sure this would be a good move although of course the Championship is not the Premiership.

I'll be honest. I've never rated him and thought he was a sign of things to come when he started to pick up caps. He wouldn't be my first choice, but I doubt he is Sven's either. Can't see him helping us if and when we got to the top flight.

Still, if I'm moaning about a player with as much experience, goals and pedigree as Johnson we are doing something right.

In fact, Johnson's goalscoring record in recent years in the Prem is better than Yakubu's and Kevin Phillips'. Both have whom have looked/are looking awesome at this level.
