We have had 3 or 4 seasons of doom and gloom, incompetent managers residing over lousy players that served up drivel. The threat of relegation seemed to carry a heavy burden around the club for most of last season, and the day we lost our top 2 division status at Stoke was like a death in the family. That day it dawned on the city faithful that the unthinkable had happened, we would be playing league games against Hereford, Cheltenham, and Hartlepool.
Well just over a month into the season, what do you think ?
Is it really that bad ? Is it depressing to be playing to an half full Walkers against shitty teams ? Whats the away fans perspective on going to new territory ? Is there much difference in quality between the championship and league 1 ?
Imo the fact that the team have started well, appears to have lifted the black cloud over the club. So were our worries about dropping into league 1 unjustified? or do you consider it still to be a bloody nightmare ?

Cant be bothered to read all of that but I'm really enjoying it. You wanna know why?

Were winning, and were clearly better than the teams we have so far faced.

It's beautiful.

All three Saturday away days have been superb. I haven't felt like we are in some awful environment either. A competitive division which has some awful football played in it.

The gulf in quality is difference in finishing. The likes of Fryatt can get away with three or four chances at this level before scoring and the opposition have missed some big chances against us which probably would have been taken last season.

Likwise, can't be arsed to read that, but yes, enjoying it immensely.

Yes

Can't be arsed reading it but just want to get promotion, not a lot enjoyable about winning in the third tier of English football but others may well be enthralled about wins over Orient and Hartlepool

I've watched four games in this league so far. And they've all been mind numbingly dull. It is as bad as I feared. The standard is awful.

I don't doubt that the away games are fun and enjoyable for supporters. New venues, take the piss out of the tin pot stadiums, win and come home. But the truth is that we're in a footballing wasteland.

The sooner we're out of it, the better. Give me Championship games anyday. Three out of four home league games have been no challenge to any half decent side. Today's game was so boring.

I hate this league. Cannot comprehend any other attitude. If winning is all that it's about, why not simply drop down to the Leicester Senior League and win every game 6-0?

I can think of at least a dozen reasons, without even trying, why that is a ridiculous suggestion.

Only been the one league away match. Pies were terrible and didn't serve beer.

I think we have a fairly well balanced squad and there seems to be a good feeling in the team.

Miss the local derbies though.

Im loving leage 1, it's so easy.

I was asked this question by Colin whatshisname from BBC as I left the ground, so look out for the pissed up fat bloke on BBC east midlands today on Monday.
