I tend to agree, I think he could offer us something from the bench initially though.

Absolutely. It was his introduction, not that of either Fryatt or Hume, that won us the game at Stockport. He will do well when brought on in the last 15 minutes, when 'solid' defenders won't even be able to catch him nevermind kick him.

Absolutley.

I completely agree that he is lightweight, just hope he gets his chance because i've never been a fan of Maybury.

He's not going to be an alternative to Maybury; you need to look to Josh Low for that.

Really starting to get the buzz now, looking forward to the new season whilst I am realistic, I see no reason why we cannot be this season´s Watford and hopefully become the season´s surprise package.

This kind of over-enthusiasm has a habit of leading to disappointment. Far better to hope that we narrowly avoid relegation and than be pleasantly surprised by anything better IMHO.

Aye, most things are improvement on Maybury imo.

At the moment I am not in the least bit excited.

I just hope we can push for the top end of the table this year. I think we have the ability to make the play offs but there can be no space for complacent displays. We need to treat every game as a game we want to win.

What have you got against Maybury. At right back he has been very good. Granted on the left he struggles, but that isn't his position!

I understand that left mid isn't his position, and when he plays it he's shite. But he played there most games last season, so i think someone else needs a go this season.

Are you still talking about Maybury? I can't remember a single game when he played left midfield last season.

Maybury has been shite and very disappointing from day one

Have to disagree there, especially as he's been pushed forward a lot to fit Strearman in at right back. I'm not saying he's a great player, but in the context of the league we are in and the players we could bring in to replace him I think he's OK.

I've said it before, buy my defention of shit, doesn't really mean shit when it refers to one of our players. :102:

If a player is truly shit, I won't waste my time writing about him. Maybury is in the Williams mold. Shit, but with unreached potential

He's pushing on a bit to still have potential.;)

I agree with both of you, although slightly favouring the RS- over the MF-view on the matter.

Don´t think it was over enthusastic in the slightest. And I see no reason why we cannot replicate the success enjoyed by Watford last season, who undoubtedly exceeded pre season expectations.

most squads in the league will be looking to do a watford as there is so little difference between many clubs, some have the money and can invest in looking for automatic promotion whereas others like ourselves are just going to have to hope we invest our money wisely on an off-chance
