Hmmm. I'm not sure he was. I think he looked solid enough at times but he never filled me with confidence. I still don't think he is a natural midfielder. He was excellent during the AFCON at centre back, we just seem reluctant to play him there for some reason. Still, maybe I am being a bit unfair on him really as he could do what DD has lately without much trouble.
Very constructive. You are one of the most vociferous posters when it comes to insulting the team and being negative but you clearly have a constructive view of yourt own.Yep. The time to tinker is when we have another three points safely in the bag.
Until then, it's business as usual:
Pale Shadow of his Father
Wife Beating Thug
Fat Slobby Carthorse
Static OAP Lump
Shit Clothing Salesman
Half Arsed Show Pony
Pointing Moaning Twat
Poor Man's Kante
Crap Villa Reject
Shite Mr Tumble
Vile Racist Ratboy

Hating on DD again. He was magnificent for us last year. we just need to set the team up so that he can play in the way that's best for him and not worry about what he can't do. It doesn't matter that he's not been on top of his game for a couple of months or so.

But some people are saying what you've just said above for Mahrez, and you (as well have I) have been debating that.
I think it's contradictory to use that argument FOR Drinkwater, but AGAINST Mahrez.
(Unless you're being sarcastic and in which case this is a major WHOOOSH tumbleweed moment!)
The fact you started this with 'Hating on...' tells it's own teenage story.Hating on DD again. At least I think that's the logical way to write about a player who needs to be replaced whilst he re-finds his form.

The comparison between the over the top, ridiculous and continuous barrage of criticism levied at Mahrez week in week out by some and the honest, clear and constructively conceived criticism of DD by some is something only you could have dreamt up.
As Lako writes, DD has been the most consistently out-of-sorts player we have had all season both during and after Ranieri's tenure. Had we a decent and effecvtive replacement he would be sitting on the bench.
Waaaaaait not without his spotty bag
Yes, I am aware of the replacements. One was awful for the most part, the other a defendwr who was tolerable at times but went AWOL at others. I wouldn't trust either to play through the middle against Arsenal. If you really care about my opinion, which you probably don't, the only viable option I could see would be to give Mahrez a go through the middle and put Gray on the wing. Could be a disaster but no more so than having a totally anonymous Andy King littering the midfield.Writing your own facts and using your own logic again Pop.
DD has had as much criticism over the season as Mahrez on this board.
Lako wrote DD is the only other one - saying that he was the same as Mahrez.
We have other midfielders who can replace him whilst he "gets fit" Amartey and King for a start. You are aware that replaced him last time he was injured aren't you?
And to correct you biggest fault of all I'm a defender of both Mahrez and Drinkwater but realise they both need to be dropped to re-find their form.
