Mercury yesterday reported the consortium was not Thai but of Indonesian origin. Not that a fact like that will stop all and sundry continuing to make stuff up.

Mandaric is most likely a crook & a liar
Bunch of Asian businessmen that he recommends = most likely crooks & liars too.Probably undercover reps for Indonesian bookies or the fecking Triads knowing our luck.
They'll come in,Mandy will bail after his court case,the Asians will take 100% control,feck all money will actually materialise for anything football related but the Walkers will become a fantastic conference facility for Indonesian/Thai/Malaysian business concerns looking to make inroads into UK markets after the economy recovers.
One day we'll wake up to headlines of an investigation into our club being used as a massive money laundering facility.The board will have legged it the night before having been tipped off by their contacts in the Serious Fraud Office & be landing in Jakarta with suitcases stuffed full of cash by the time we read the papers.
By the time the Old Bill arrive at the stadium there'll be no-one to greet them but the tea lady & the kit man.
The investigation will reveal that LCFC has been completely stripped of all liquidity & that all of its financial transactions for the previous 3 years have been entirely for the purposes of laundering the proceeds of drug sales,illegal gambling,prostitution & people trafficking.
The club is subsequently wound up in the High Court & the stadium & Belvoir Drive sold for development.
Both sites are rebuilt as blocks of luxury flats that no-one can afford,are then left empty,squatted by junkies,burned out,gutted & finally demolished.Someone on the City Council manages to turn a tidy personal profit from all of this somehow but no-one can quite figure out how (or prove anything).
The levelled sites are then bought by De Montfort University for £2.50 & a very nice lunch for all current city councillors & senior Council officers.
Dessert is served in brown envelopes.
DMU uses the Walkers site to build yet more luxury flats but this time for students only which proves to be very successful as Mummy & Daddy are perfectly happy to stump up £150pw for a bedsit for their spolit offspring.
The Belvoir Drive site is developed as a state-of-the art sports facility.For students only.Assurances are given by DMU that it will in fact be available to the general public as well.They tell the truth.Public access is granted.For 2 hours on a Sunday outside of term time at £20 a session plus an annual access fee of £100.
Both sites feature a blue & white plaque detailing the history & sad demise of LCFC.These are regularly stolen only to reappear behind the bars of dog rough pubs in Derby,Nottingham & Coventry.
After a few years the Council stops replacing them citing "cash shortages due to essential budget restructuring"
Thats my opinion anyway but I could be wrong & it might be the best thing to ever happen to the club.
Call me when the Champions League tickets go on sale.
