I really would be interested to know how many goals JJ has cost us so far.

we will lose every single game with our back four, they are simply not good enough. Vestergaard has to head that ball back out in the air, he literally put it on a plate for Barkley to have a shot.
JJ had ample opportunities to clear it and Ayew did not do enough either, it is these simple errors that will continue to cost us at this level. Our defence is the gift that keeps on giving.

We are not fit enough and we have no quality coming off that bench, we are a top half of the table championship team.

Maybe we can unearth some gems this January?
I have a feeling we just unearth additional mud.

At least we have surpassed Derby’s excellent 07/08 tally of points. We’ll probably gift hapless Southampton some points later in the season to help them overcome it too.

Vestergaard wasn’t really at fault for the first. If he had left it, the ball would’ve bounced in the box. Barkley scored a beautiful goal and had a lot to do from that point.

It was just like Stolarkcyk last week when Foden shot and he palmed it to a Man City player. That was an error.

Same today. There is no point winning a header if you're just going to put it there. He wasn't under pressure. It was an error.

Obviously, there is more to it but he created the problem. Just like Justin created the problem for the winner by failing to clear danger.

That starting line up is a disgrace and highlights how far we’ve fallen

I don’t know if you’ve ever played in defence, but you are absolutely taught to head it high and wide away from goal, he did the exact opposite and it went straight to an opponent in a dangerous area.

Considering we look very likely to get relegated and the current defensive players got us relegated before wouldn't it be better to either sign some younger player or give our own some games ? What's the point in keeping Justin, Vestergard, Faes, Thomas etc when they aren't good enough, it's not like they are going to improve for another crack in the premier league anytime soon

Hmmm. Back in the day it was all about safety etc. I do wonder what they're taught now everyone has to play out from the back and give the ball away inside the 18 yard box. Maybe look for a pass? Try and set up an opponent? Who knows....

You're also taught to make sure your looking to get to the ball quickly and close down at speed which not one of our ****s did after Barkley took possession.

It may not have been the finest clearing header but there's no way that goal is all on Vestergaard.

No it’s absolutely not all on him, I was just answering the point about him not being at fault, as he clearly had a part in it, although you’re right in that others were also at fault.

It was a totally ****ing shit header. Absolute wank defending of the highest order

All other defenders were marking their man. All the midfielders, however, were completely ****ing missing in action - especially El Khannous

Was a shit goal to concede

But not quite as shit as the second one
