Very lucky.

But our defence is going to cost us yet again.

Our attack has been good (minus Lookman). But our defence has been shambolic again. How frustrating must it be to be an attacker in this team, knowing you will have to score 2 or 3 to get anything eveeytime because of how bad and soft we are at the back?

Kasper had a hand on top of the ball so was deemed to have it under control.
Ah right. I’m no expert on rules and laws but I remember reading a while ago that the ball is under the ‘keepers control while it’s between his hands and a surface e.g when bouncing the ball the ball is under his control even when in mid air….

Seems tenuous and I don’t know if that is still or ever was the case….

Massive let off either way, hopefully shocks them to life because the body language and generally shit play for the last five minutes of the half was very worrying.

I really think we are playing quite brightly going forward. Barnes, Thomas, Maddison and Daka look excellent. It’s so so frustrating to play this well and then just concede in the most basic way possible. Infuriating.

The good work all undercut by the absolutely shocking performance Lookman is producing though. He’s genuinely stinking the place out. Quite how he’s getting so many chances when Under was discarded is beyond me.

Albrighton on for me.

I didn't know this rule at all. It was clearly right that they disallowed it after all. That doesn't stop it being a fecking idiotic rule.

Serious thought time.

Is Schmeichel mentally right? He was clearly and understandably badly impacted by what he went through in the summer. It was an awful thing to have experienced.

This season, he just looks weak and scared. He appeals for the slightest thing, he's terrified of putting himself in danger. He just doesn't look like he's got the heart for it any more.

His form is very worrying.

Got to say I think we were the better team for most of that and played well but **** me, Rodgers has got to sort out our horseshit defending. If you can't defend crosses in the air, font be so damn stand offish when it comes to letting them get crosses in..

Barnes has been great, Madison and Daka too. Thomas and Lookman both dreadful. KDH not much better I have to say..

Rainbow Laces and taking the knee are both important messages to support sections of society that don't get enough of a voice, and to reach an audience who are probably disproportionately to the wider population still living with ignorant views, so I understand their place.

Pausing the game for a minute's silence or applause during the game for fans though, no matter how tragic and horrific the circumstances, does feel out of place though.
Was the game paused? It didn't sound like it.

Christ on a jet ski I was actually kinda right!

Every time we go forward with anyone other than Lookman, we look bright and threatening.

Every time they go forward with anyone at all, in any kind of situation, we shit ourselves.

lucky with the VAR… but his hand was on the ball.

Lookman looks shocking, Ndidi needs to get a grip. Otherwise I thought we looked alright… apart from looking very twitchy at every set piece.

He wacked Kasper’s hand. Foul.

Harsh on Thomas and KDH

Agree with most of this, but Thomas excellent? He's been good going forward but terrible defending, probably the weakest link in a crap defence.

Fair play then. If it's in the rules, its in the rules.
