Inside knowledge BG? I'm still at a loss as to whether MM will actually buy the club to start with.

Do all of them have better squads or more money. No.

Well, 11 have more money. The only ones that don't are probably Burnley, Plymouth, Colchester and Ipswich. And below us, Norwich and Palace also have more money.

I look at Bolton and Portsmouth who are 4th and 5th in the PL and look at your statement. Are we truly smaller as a Club than Portsmouth or Bolton? :102: :102: I think not. We are 16th and that means that fifteen other clubs are doing better than us. Do all of them have better squads or more money. No.

We are where we are because of the way we have been managed at a Board level and at a Team level. There is no other reason. We have had many opportunities with the squad and with Managers and never grasped the nettle on any occasion(s). :icon_conf

Quite.

We are where we are because of sheer bad management both on and off the field. Starting with the unbelievably bad management of Elsom/ Taylor who turned a club that had a reputation for prudence or tightness - call it what you will - into a mad spending spree on mainly rubbish players. Then we have had a succession of poor to mediocre football managers and a board that does not have the wherewithal to run the club successfully.

It's not surprising that fans - including posters on this forum have now rationalised their expectations in the way we are seeing in the depressing posts on this subject.

But it need not be this way. There is an excellent fan base and a decently large (if boring) stadium. The club is languishing but if someone with access to resources and a decent football manager should come along - the pessimists on this forum would soon be hyped up and talking about promotion next season....and the Walkers would be near to full again.

ive heard the same :038: :038:

They will all bow down before us Newton when it happens. The two sages of Talkingballs.co.uk..................

I don't think a new Manager will make that much differencce, what we desperately need is a new Owner.Kelly has done alright but I don't think he's cut out to be a Manager and it bothers me that he never came out and said he wanted the job,I want a Manager who really wants to be Manager of Leicester City and not someone who was given it.

i agree HF but the bit about kelly is a little bit wrong ,what he said was he wanted the board to offer him the job on what he had done to get us out of the bottom 3 he didnt want to go to them thats where that bit came from and was reported in a way that RK never said :icon_wink

I could be wrong then but IMO with Kelly in charge the team will not improve,we will remain where we are now.I think that he will be replaced if MM takes over,I know MM has said Kelly will remain in charge but he's not going to say otherwise.Dowie was close to taking the Hull job amd something stopped him and changed his mind....I wonder what it was

see above post.......:icon_cool :icon_cool

He is our next manager.....:038:

I don't know, I think he has a pretty good record. Palace always seemed to at least make the playoffs under his management...bet they would snap off your arm for that kind of promise now.

I don't think it can be said that he did a shite job in taking a team that was in a relegation spot at christmas a few years back and getting them promoted that season...I'd say that was actually pretty amazing as achievements go.

Agreed. Ian Dowie would be as good a manager as we could get - and we would be lucky to get him.

In contrast to Dowie, RK has no track record whatsoever. Everybody knows that - and the team are just going nowhere under his management. I don't blame RK. He is just not right for the job and the club has to be credited for recognising that a new start is required in ownership/ investment....and if that happens....RK will be replaced. Absolute certainty.
