i feel we need to buy a 30ish a season man.

Why, oh why, oh why doesn't PEAR SON just nip down to the Striker-U-Like shop and buy one? I think we have to call his management into question when he can't even complete a simple task like this.
It's madness, I tell ya

I'm sure you do, as does every other club in the league. Damn that transfer window, we can't buy a 30 goals a season man to address our horrific goalscoring record. We're doomed I tell you, doomed.

Ooops :icon_redf

Let's look at it like this, if we had to pay Everton even just £500,000 to keep him, is he worth taking the risk?

I don't think so......

If his 50th appearance would've made a payment due then it does make more sense. Although if that's the case, not sure why we bothered including him on the bench when we had 3 other strikers to bring on.

It's not very likely in my opinion. Such clauses are more likely with younger players who have still to prove themselves, not established players who are expected to play regularly.

More likely its a pay rise, or bonus payable to Beckford, if anything.

Maybe 50 appearances is the trigger point that then allows a player to take a shit in Pear Son's car?

100 appearances would surely see a river of man juice in the drivers seat of said managers car?

Christ only knows what 200 appearances would result in...Macky?

are you seriously suggesting that anyone would dare dropping Macky in someone's car?

Frankly, he's a waste of time. I am almost as happy he is gone as I am that that twat Terry has gone from England. Beckford flatters to deceive and wastes money, attitude and chances to the point of total frustration. I hope he is half as good as his PR thinks he is, otherwise the poor lad is heading for a fall.

Beckford and Nugent seemed to have a partnership developing towards the end of last season: the only working striker partnership at the club. For that reason alone, I would like to have kept Beckford, until someone better signs.

The most worrying thing, as far as I can see, is the rate of drop in both number and the experience of our players. I have never known a manager who, voluntarily, pares his squad to this extent, therefore, I presume it is happening at the board's behest. When we cease to have these international weekends, I foresee real problems with injuries and players needing to rest.

One can argue that allowing Sven to spend, spend, spend was wrong; but I feel that, with unrealistic expectations, we have also thrown out ambition.

In the last 10 games of last season when both Beckford and Nugent started they scored 5 goals in 10 games.

So far this season when Nugent and Vardy have started together they have scored 7 goals in 6 games.

This might suggest that we are playing our best strike partnership

..........and Vardy isn't mardy.

But he does look a little bit lardy

And I believe he was late for training the other day, and was therefore a bit tardy

Apparently he'd been writing poetry whilst wearing a button-up jumper - the bardy in the cardy.

Yeah, he needs to stay away from those casinos.

No - he got one of those rip off companies to sort out his PPI claim, rather than doing it himself

Chucking money away like there's no tomorrow

Not sure I agree at all. For me they looked good together for a brief while around Jan/Feb time, but were absolutely awful as a partnership up until that (though Nugent was playing well individually) and many people were suggesting they simply didn't work as a partnership for the entire first half of the season, they then looked like they didn't work again for the last couple of months again when they were both poor.
