Worked seven years for a company that manufactured and sold it. Two ways of doing one is from the raw ingredients the other is from concentrate in tins. It is a lot of effort for a fairly skaggy result. It originally came onto the scene as a money saver . now you get beer for next to nothing in the supermarkets it is purely for the enthusiast. Bought a kit and made some with a mate last year, it was disgusting. We ended up tipping most of it down the drain.

I've got a German friend here in Tucson who has made six or seven different beers from scratch over the past couple of years, and they've all been excellent. Although I think it's because he's German.
