City 5-0 Wolves was special, as was the 5-0 against Dion Dublin's Cambridge, 'Rooooosssstttttteeerrrrrrrr'.... I loved all the play-off finals we played at Wembley, except against Blackburn cheating Speedie Rovers, all the cup finals, and I have to add that THIS SEASON at Charlton was pretty special for me...

Also, beating Palace 1-0 with Richard Smith scoring in the last minute of the cup was great, especially at the time... A club on the up.

1969 - city 2 Untied 1 Rodney fern got the winner - then we had to go to old trafford to win to stay up. Nish scored in the first minute but we lost 3-2
1974 - city 1 spurs 0, Luton 0 City 4, QPR 0 City 2 - terrrific cup run
1975 City 2 Arse 1 - Arse scored to make it 1-0 with 5 minutes to go and we got two late goals. Pen 3 went mad!

I remember Leatherhead - scared the sh*t outta me

Awesome match! I was sat in front of 3 arsenal fans as well in the carling stand, gave them so much grief after we equalized!

I left right on 90mins with Arsenal 2-1 up.(big mistake).
Just came out of the double decker and 2-2(kicking myself for walking out early).
Down by the canal and a smaller cheer seemed to indicate full time, when some chap with ear to radio belts out city 2 arsenal 3.(gutted, but made me feel better about leaving early).
Then right on top of the bridge it sounded like the Sellafield power station had blew. 3-3 Fantastic. MON boys never gave up.I should have known better.

Derby County, Play-off final 1994, without a doubt. Not just the fact of going to Wembley with a chance to be in the premier but against your bitter rivals too and in the last few minutes.

completely agree. local rivals, Walshy with 2. complete under-dogs at the time. what more could you ask?! :)

I think mine must be the 2-1 win at anfield the weekend after we had been dumped out of the fa cup by exeter. That made it the double, and the first team to win there for 3 1/2 years i think. It was a long journey there but it was worth it.

The 3-3 vs Arsenal, play off wins vs Derby & Palace, the fizy pop cup wins vs Tranmere & Boro, and for atmosphere, the home leg against Athletico Madrid (only game I've been to at Filbo, or anywhere for that matter, where just about every person in the ground was standing and singing for the full 90 minutes).

But, for sheer drama, it has to be the 4-3 defeat vs Swindon at Wembley. That was the most stirring comeback I've ever seen in any football match, and Steve Thompson's goal was the coolest finish under pressure you're ever going to see. Classic stuff, and of course, in true LCFC style, it ended in disaster when they got a dubious last minute penalty to win it.

Leicester 4 - 3 Leeds

Absolute quality !! 2-0 down at half time and Pleaty brings on Paul Ramsey at half-time. My mate moans to me 'Oh yeah, Like he's gonna change the game'

Rambo goes on to score 2 goals, before Leeds win a penalty with not long to go and go 3-2 up. Steve Moran and Gary Macallister score late on to win 4-3.

What a Game!!!

Also, the 5-0 against Cambridge was fantastic, namely because my favourite ever Leicester player scored twice and made 2 others. Oh and we got to Wembley for the first time in my lifetime. Ooh Tommy Wright !!

LCFC 5 Cambridge United 0....

Truly amazing atmosphere, day, evening etc. Rooooooster, Ooohh Tommy Wright, even Big O got in on the act. Led to my first visit to Wembley to watch the boys - it still brings a tear to my eye thinking about it now.

LCFC 3 Derby 2.....

Think it might have been the season before we beat them in the playoff final - when they'd just began compiling "the dream team  " pembridge, mcminn, williams, gabbiadini, kitson etc. We had Phil Gee on fire that night, think Thommo scored a screamer too.. My local was ran by a big sheep-shagger at the time, later on that night back in the boozer was one of the best.....

LCFC 2 Derby 1......

As above, except this time, Walshie ....last minute.....Derby tears of sadness....Leicester tears of ectsasy....Beautiful.

LCFC 2 Notts County 1 (AET)

Zenith Data semi-final, 8,000 City fans in the pouring rain.... my brand new suede coat ruined.....Tommy Johnson calling us "Wankers".....Fitzpatrick's perfectly aimed diving header......

AHhhhh!!!! I'd forgotten all about that Leeds one!!!! Wicked that was!!!!

One that does come to mind was god gary put us 1-0 up at highbury with a minute left. then woooooops lost 2-1. abit like last season i suppose.

I was at that Arsenal game, too. I think Tony Woodcock equalised for the Gooners and the winner came from Paul Davis.
