Clearly not the best loan signing (Muzzy and Campbell are good shouts; Daly before my time), but honourable mentions to Michael Keane and Tom Cleverley - at times, Cleverley was superb for us in the League One season (Walsall away, Yeovil away) and I think Keane will go on to be a very accomplished defender.

Mentioning League One for me always brings back memories of Mark Davies. I'm similarly not suggesting he's the best ever loan signing, but he was fantastic for us for the very short time we had him. One of the few midfielders I've seen in recent years at Leicester that as soon as he got the ball ran directly at defenders and committed them creating spaces for others.

I loved Yakubu for star power but he was dogshit the majority of the time. The goal against Derby will live long in the memory though.

I thought Mark Davies was a brilliant loan signing. Really came to life for us. Shame we couldn't sign him up.

Fantastic RB, arguably one of the best prospects I've seen for years. He had pace, an engine, his distribution was good and he popped up with the odd goal. I said to my mates he'd be better than Kyle Walker, good job I don't do scouting.
