He also needs to learn to comment on everything except what's actually happening on the pitch as well, if he wants to be a proper commentator like Stringy
 
If he just went "wibble" repeatedly for the full ninety minutes it would be an improvement

Hitting the goalkeeper is the same as missing.
 
Yes. Same as if a shot was headed towards the corner flag and deflected off a defender's arse into the net.

What if the ball barely touches the post on the way into the net, is that still off target?


The obvious answer is, if the ball hits the post in such a way that it would then go into the net, it's on target. It it hits the ball and bounces away, it's off target.
