im not getting too excited-results mean feck all its fitness which is important.

Then you should be excited that we have got through the first week and a half of training and the first match with only one player feeling a slight twinge (word used again for the benefit of The Voice from Above).

Maybe he was thinking of the conversations I used to have with his wife.

Go on. Go on...

Thanks Boc. Did you feel a twinge when Hume smashed in that 30 yarder?

banjo string, snap

Glad we won because winning matches is a good mentality to have and it breeds confidence but we won matches pre-season before and then endured a moderate season so I'm not getting carried away.

The maddest thing happened to me this morning, I dreamed of Melton astride my boat race, and when i woke up I noticed I had Homer standing over me with a whip in his hand.....Ho de ho de ho, life in the Highlands for me....

I suppose us having two no. 11's on the pitch in the first half was new tactic?

You're right. I forgot to mention that. This occurred when Porter came on to replace Weso - both Porter and Tiatto were wearing number 11.

For the benefit of those who were not there, the shirts worn by the players did not carry their names and had very plain 'not-Championship' numerals. Although most did wear their allotted squad number, there were several who did not:

Henderson wore 1
Chris O'Grady wore 9
Wesolowski wore 8
Levi Porter wore 11

I don't think there is any intention for them to keep these numbers.
