Yeah, all a bit weird that

Clearly needed some drastic surgery at half time, and he just sat there on his phone

Possibly contractual - considering the two incompetent twats he was sat with, he probably wasn’t allowed

Looks like Ruud himself needed waking up.
Either that or he saw one of Daka's contribution and closed his eyes in disbelief 🙄

Bought a brunch of players with little resale value and little quality.

You're right, an absolute dog's dinner of a situation. Teams will be eating is for breakfast. Hopefully Ruud will turn out to be something of a Supperman and get the full elevenses playing well together.

Got off lightly with other results going our way again.

That was the worst performance of the season for me. It was a game we needed to and possibly could have taken at least a point from.

I can take a loss to Chelsea on the chin, as inept as our performance was against Man U… they are still probably a decent, underperforming team. Walsall yep.., shit…couldn’t care. But yesterday had all the worrying signs that we are up a particularly smelly creek, with only our hands for propulsion.

I think RvN has a very tough job. If he does turn this around he will be working miracles.

Southampton look an entertaining side (Could be goals ant either end) Unlucky to be where they are. We are fortunate to have those two wins. Where are our next points coming from?

I don't think it was actually our worst performance of the season. It was woeful and embarrassing, but no worse than we've seen. It's just that today, the scoreline reflected it.
I agree that it was no worse. Except I don’t think the scoreline in this game actually reflected how absolutely abject we were. 7-1 may have. Maybe.

Spot on. We have played like this nearly all season but the cracks had been papered over. Yesterday, Brentford filled their boots and hammered us like most teams have so far, only they put the ball in the net as well.

Long old road for Ruud, this one.

I think that when he organises the defence into a 5 for some of the tougher games and puts some square pegs into square holes and recalls a couple of players (Cannon is a must).

Add to this a couple of decent loans from Man Utd in January and I hope we will be fine.

Luckily we acted early enough this time.
