Rodgers Provides Update On Vardy's Fitness

Jamie Vardy will be unavailable for Saturday's Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round tie at Brentford, manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed.

Not really a surprise anyway, but Vardy won’t play tomorrow:

“While Papy Mendy (knee) could face between four to six weeks out, Rodgers is hopeful that Vardy will be available for next Tuesday's Carabao Cup Semi-Final second leg tie at Aston Villa (7:45pm kick-off).

"He’s obviously not available for the weekend and there will be a question mark for Tuesday," he said. "It’s certainly not as serious as we first thought.​

"It’s not his hamstring, so we’re hopeful for Tuesday, but there's a little bit of work to do. He’ll get some work in with the medical team. He’ll stay with them for the weekend.

"He is much better. Directly after the game, he was tight and sore, but today was much better. Hopefully he’ll be involved."

Benrahma's dad just passed a way a few days back so it's possible he's either rested or he'll be shit hot and dedicate the match to his dad.

Our reserves should beat theirs.

League Cup Semi Final we have a lot of work to do so getting to the final is nowhere near done but my gosh that would be a huge achievement. Then winning the final is a whole other thing. Either way plenty to do so I hope we take each FA Cup round as seriously as we can with respect to all factors considered.

On our day we can beat any team in the country I believe so why can't we get to two finals? Let's try!!!!!

It will be a helluva day soon if we could beat Liverpool. I will settle for just beating Brentford and Villa over the next few days.
