I'm just setting out for the game. As far as I am concerned it is a must-win game - for the fans and for the team. We're too near the relegation zone to allow ourselves to be beaten by teams like Brighton.

You can write what you want here - I'll be back about 2 in the morning.

2 in the morning? By my calculations with the given distance you should be home by 1:48am. :icon_lol: ;)

well we cant have a worse ref than what we had on saturday  so that must be a positive :icon_lol:

Did you allow for me dropping somebody off in central London?

at least he will have to time to have calmed down when he gets home if things don't go the way he wants....

Right in one!! the greatest advantage of living so far away.

That would just be dead time for me to 'stew'

My assessment of tonight's ref which I posted elsewhere a couple of days ago:

Darren Drysdale, who although the FA lists him as coming from Linclonshire,
seems to be a corporal at RAF Cottesmore. Isn't that in Leicestershire?

This bloke is highly ranked an assistant referee but this is only his second
season as a ref. This will be his first Championship game of the season,
although he did get two last year - his first was our 2-0 defeat of
Gillingham at the Walkers in January.

He doesn't seem to throw cards about too much - an average of just over 2
yellows per game and just 1 red for every seven games, the last of these
being in his most recent game last Tuesday when he sent off Sunderland
defender Dan Smith in their league cup-tie with Cheltenham. He hasn't shown
a single card in his two Chamionship games - a feat he has managed 5 times
in his total of 35 first-class games.

As an assistant referee he ran the line in the last Wembley Cup Final. As
one of only three people in the UK who have their names on the UEFA 'Top
Class' list of asst. refs, he gets top Champions League fixtures, including
last season's group match between Dynamo Kiev and Real Madrid. He is also
on the FIFA asst ref's list.

At 34, he's quite a young ref but the stats seem to suggest that he's good
for the game.

I am not sure the ref has a great deal of relevance. He isn't the one defending Brightons set pieces.

I hope the gods are on our side tonight..... couldnt stand the ear-bashing from hubby on the way home again :)

So we have now resorted to needing a ref who doesn't give free kicks and corners against us to win a game?

and why the hell not if it mean us winning a game :icon_lol: :038:

from BBC:

Defender Patrik Gerrbrand could play a part for Leicester, but it is rare good news for Foxes manager Craig Levein.
Momo Sylla, Dion Dublin and Mark de Vries are struggling with injury, Gareth Williams is ill and Alan Maybury and Paddy McCarthy are suspended.
