Schlupp will not start. That doesn't mean he can't come on and score 2 goals, but I very much doubt it.
I'd like us to go back to basics. It's evident from todays mercury that SGE is happy with the strikers he has at his disposal.
The midfield last season, for me was pretty good. I'd like to see Gallagher, Dyer and King all start.
Schmeichel
Pantsil (Peltier if back fit) - Mills - Bamba - Konchesky
Gallagher - Wellens - King - Dyer
Nugent - Waghorn
Subs: Weale, Abe, Fernandes, Schlupp, St Ledger
I understand that means Danns isn't included at all, but players will have to get used to that with the size of the squad and only 4 outfield places up for grabs on the bench.
I predict a 2-0 win. Nugent and Waggy with the goals.
Schmeichel
Pantsil
Bamba
Mills
Konchesky
Wellens
Fernandes
King
Gally
Nugent
Vassell/Dyer

'Peter' Schmeichel seems to have his head screwed on.
We need to play 4-3-3, not 4-5-1. There is no chance of us playing 4-4-2. The squad isn't built for it.
I'd select the following:
Schmeichel
Pantsil Mills Bamba Konchesky
King Fernandes Wellens
Dyer Nugent Gallagher
Subs: Weale, St. Ledger, Abe, Schlupp, Waghorn
