get a hotel with a pool then. all the beaches, if thats what they called them, were fairly expensive and crowded. But its a must place to go to.

They got married in Italy, not sure where.

I'm giving up on the pool/beach argument.
 
I'm personally very fonds of beaches. They keep 90% of the numpties occupied all day long, leaving time and space for the rest of us to visit the intersting places nearby. Perfect!
 
The beach at Positano is not sandy, its small dark pebbles that are smooth and surprisingly easy to walk on. The sea is wonderful. There is a second beach, Spiaggia di Fornillo, to the west, I like this one better. See pic.

Looking at that pic, Cornwall seems more appealing to me.
 
Best beaches in the UK are up here,sand is from the Carribean..just as shame it pisses down so much

Britain is a beautiful Country BG maybe you should go and see a bit of it:102:God knows our Tourist Industry could do with more people holidaying at home instead of lining other people's pockets

I went Walking in Yorkshire on Sunday and was surprised just how nice/scenic it was....especially the Pub I had me dinner in
