I'd judge Clemence when he is played in his proper position which to me is a holding midfielder,no good alongside Weso because they are too similar. We haven't got a decent attacking central midfielder...infact we haven't got a decent attacking midfielder.I know its old hat but Muzzy Izzet has never been replaced

Football is a simple game - you play two central midfielders, one who likes to attack a bit and one who likes to defend a bit. Weso and Clemence are two peas from the same pod, no pace and both grinders. The one common denominator through all the upheaval of managers coming and going has been the banality of the midfield, they offer no attacking option whatsoever. It also makes us incredibly predicable as a team. When have we seen a centre forward pull a defender wide, knowing a midfielder will be racing forward to offer support, recently?

:038: Spot on BF. It was woeful but the usual Burnley away performance. :icon_cry:
Was the guy who got taken out by the police near you? I was going to complain, why should he get away with missing the rest of the game? :icon_bigg I wonder if the Hume incident was the reason why the players seemed ambivalant towards us at the end of the game.

I saw BF, Ben & Fludie, thought it couldn't get any worse, but then we kicked off. :icon_wink

Hey BF, the guy you were talking to before the game, (from Brum way on?), does he post on here?

He got took out cos he had his beer bottle with him, the numpty!
The bloke who was gobbing off was right behind him.

The Brum guy is Dave, don't know if he actually posts on here but I know he reads most of the forums.

Burnley are far from being an ordinary side. In their last few games they've beaten two out of the top three sides in the Championship. Having said that we were extremely lucky from the reports I've seen to get away with a draw. :icon_conf

Your wrong they are on ordinary side that happen to be having a little run. The fact is they still are not a top 6 side and come the end of the season they still wont be. Does it make us a decent side just because we hammered Watford?

Depends on who you're comparing them too I guess. They've beaten us once and should've won against us last time too. They were all over us, just couldn't put it away. But they've beaten Watford and Charlton and us in recent times. I'd say they're above average in this league.

most teams in this division will string a run of results together at some stage during the season

Ollie:

4 points out of 6 away :023:

1 point out of 6 at home :thumbs_do

We don't have players who can break down defences. This is not so important when we play away because our opponents attack us. At the Walkers teams pack the defence and we find it more difficult. The answer is good wingers and a Muzzy Izzet type. The problem is finding them and then persuading them to come to Leicester.

Clemence never has been a play maker.
For Spurs he was always a spoiler who put his foot in and broke up paly and niggled away at the attractive midfielders and made sure they didn't make an impact.

Used to hate him when he came with the Spurs.

That's what we need him to do for us. He is not not the playmaker.

Last season's player-of-the-year for Birmingham City in a promotion season.

What does that tell us really, I mean really?

What it tells us is that a player who appears incapable of passing the ball or asserting any kind of influence, is capable of better.

It doesn't tell us is why he's not delivering. Players go shite for a whole variety of reasons. Some related to football, some not. Suggestions that is has anything to do with playing alongside a supposedly similar type player (Wesolowski) are nonsense. Playing alongside my Grandma wouldn't stop him passing to a blue shirt once in a while.

Fact is, he has been consistently awful since he joined us. Far worse than Cort, Newton etc this season. My problem is with the freedom he is given to be wank whilst others are lynched.

Same goes for Hume. Regularly awful and cheered. Also Kisnorbo. He's often good but has a fairly regular nightmare performance, such as on Saturday. Not a word is said against him.

I'm all in favour of booing the shite in blue. I just want it to be the ones that deserve it.

I've said much the same all season and have defended him such but it's got to be said that against Saints he hid from the ball. For one of our most prominent players this is unforgivable, we need our seasoned pro's to stamp their authority on the game.

Got to say i disagree, although i admit that the last couple of home games he has been below par, he has been a shining light this season and much of our defensive record is in credit to him. Yesterdays salvaged point at Burnley is but one example.

Agree in sorts with the booing point, i think people get so involved with wanting Leicester to do well (hardly a criticism) they forget that football, in general, is a form of entertainment.

It tells us that we are now ruining a higher class of player. We were ruining very average players last season. So looking at it positively, a step in the right direction...

I must be watching a different game to you.

I will say that both Clemence and Kisnorbo have both had poor games this season, and have not consistently performed to the level we know they can, but they have not in my opinion been anywhere near as poor as Cort and Newton.

I'm taking credit for our equaliser today.

Go Jeeeeeffffffff!!!

There is something a bit eery with this post from Jeff. Something not quite right. It's a bit odd.

They're four points outside of the top six with a game in hand. Not a bad run. Better than the average team IMO. :icon_conf
