Why not try a 433 with Grey and Mahrez behind Vardy? Why not try a 4231 with Slimani up front with Vardy, Mahrez and Grey or Musa behind him? Why not try Mahrez at the top of a midfield diamond?

This may be the point of view of someone who played way to much Football Managed, but it might have been nice to employ a manager who would at least try something different with all of these expensively acquired players.

Vardy, Albrighton, Drinkwater, Simpson, Fuchs, Schmeichel and Huth were not involved. Hopefully when they come back we will look better.

FFS it is a friendly it is about match fitness and staying injury free never has a season been decided by a pre season.

The only thing I don't get is why Shakey has not started playing his 1st eleven for 45 mins, if we are dismantled by Arsenal and Brighton then I will be worried I am certainly not concerned about the result of a friendly.

It was not that bad a game Gray looked up for it, Iborra looks like he can put a shift in and chilwell looks like he should be starting against Arsenal.

Hamer, Amartey, Benny, James, King, Mendy, Musa, Slimani, Ulloa, Lawrence and (sadly) Okazaki.

Would the side be weakened by any of the above leaving? I don't think so.

In addition to Iheanacho, I still think we need to add another 3-4 major signings and ditch as many of the above as possible.

Hey at least we've got more than four weeks of the transfer window left to sign these 3-4 major players and ship out all of the deadwood. I mean, look at the volume of quality business we've done in the last four weeks!
