Latest on the DJ Campbell situation as per skysports.com

DJ Campbell is set to leave Leicester and a host of Championship clubs are battling for his signature, skysports.com understands.

The former Brentford star joined Leicester for more than £1million in 2007 from Birmingham.

The striker, though, is not part of Nigel Pearson's long-term plans and he is ready to let him leave the club.

Campbell spent the latter part of this season on loan at Blackpool and he impressed with nine goals.

Now a number of sides are ready to take on Campbell. Blackpool are keen to take him back to Bloomfield Road, but they look set to miss out.

Queens Park Rangers and Coventry are believed to be amongst the clubs leading the chase for his signature.

so hope he goes to the Scum and is shit for them too

for 300K, it could be more beneficial to keep him...Depends on if Pearson thinks he has any chance of contributing.

Second though, suppose off-loading his wages would be helpful though....yeah, let's get rid of him if we can. His wages will never match his production.

how many games did he play for Blackpool?

how many games did he play for Blackpool?

Wiki says 20 which sounds about right.

I still think he has potential. He's not a terrible player, maybe not worth the money we paid, but still a decent championship player. Perhaps just a bit of an arsehole. He wants to leave so let him go. Pearson obviously wasn't impressed with his attitude.

Just a minute...that's 9 goals in 20 appearances which is 0.45 per game, pretty decent I thought. He was just always offside for us. Superman Coxy got 0.56 goals per appearance for Swindon and the suggestion is someone wants 2.5million for him ,so perhaps Milan could ask for a few dinars more.

if he really wants to go then i'd rather he went, but 9 goals in 20 in the Championship is bloody good.

Just one of those players that will do well for any other club, except us.
Never seemed to have the right attitude since he has been here.

Yes but 4 goals in 35 appearances, isnt.
