I said it in the Reserves match thread; He doesn't deserve a place because of his attitude.

His technical ability doesn't factor into it all and I for one am glad that Pearson is happy not play someone who may have the ability but not the attitude. To say that you would rather play for 'anyone but Leicester' is absolutely unforgivable. He will never play under Pearson and quite rightly so.

Weaker managers (like some of the dross we've had over the past few seasons) would probably cave and let him back into the side, but Pearson won't - one of the many reasons why I think he's the perfect manager for us at the moment.

- perhaps the key players in the first team don't want him in the side after his comments, therefore NP knows that with his stance is also protecting the squad ethic Would they the other players think "that's the last place I want to be" comment means he wouldn't put his body on the line when required
front

I thought it was pretty apparent on occasions he did play last season that hardly anyone in the squad gets on with him.

When the squad numbers were announced in the pre-season NP said that there were other players who did not deserve a place in the squad at that time but whom he would expect to earn a place at some later stage. He made it clear that each of these players knew what they had to do to get a place. We must presume that DJ knew what he had to do, whether it be to apologise or anything else.

NP manages the players by ensuring that they know who is boss. He is not a 'mate' of the players, as some of our recent managers have been. His form of management has clearly benefited the club and benefited individual players. If he was to relax his 'rule' for the sake of bringing one player into the squad, it would drive a coach-and-horses through his system; none of his charges would ever look at him again in the same way. I don't think that is really what we want.

:038:

Now I am waiting for a thread to be started saying Tunchev must start tomorrow :icon_conf

He's back and he's off the bench.... Come on DJ we all love you!!!

Pearson for the chop? ;)

Right then, I believe NP is a cracking manager but I have a serious problem with him.

Why does he think it's the right decision to play a work shy primadona like Campbell on the right wing and not give a work horse like Adams the chance he deserves. It's seriously pissing me off that the lad is not being given a go in a position he feels at home in ahead of two strikers.

I think it ****ing stinks how DJ was given the nod over him today, ****ing shit NP.

Campbell was his old godawful self when he came on, had a good one on one chance but got it caught between his legs. Howard and Waghorn changed the game though.

I post a thread on bringing Campbell back from the cold and he ends up on the bench. How lucky Nigel is to have Talking Balls to guide him.

In case you don't read the other thread, Campbell came on and played up front, we went to a 4-3-3

Hear hear, David! Great to see that NP gave him a new chance:038:
Lots of us have wanted to see him playing again & possibly repaying some of the dosh the club paid for him:icon_wink

Now let`s hope (a) that this breaks the ice and (b) that the "anti-campbell club" stops criticising him and gets behind him instead, respecting his status as a city player:018:

He he......That should make the flak fly!!:081:

Anybody who thought that useless feckwit Campbell would be any different if given a new chance, is as big a **** as the player is.
Today he was given that chance and was dreadful, he couldn't give a flying **** and it showed.
IMO he is nothing more than a blue square player at best who hit a lucky spot and has done nothing since.

**** OFF CAMPBELL YOU ARE SHIT AND NOT WANTED!

Yeah but he scored against Tranmere reserves, so he must be good.
Don't you know anything BG?

I'm starting to get the impression you're not keen BG, not sure though.
I wish you'd just be honest and say what you think. :icon_wink
