Promotion is the worst thing that could happen.

Not really :?

Oh come on Leigh, relegation wouldn't be as bad as promotion!

Surely it would have been better if it was a draw last night. The second best result would have been a win for Forest. We are back in the mire now. Some of you are very short sighted sometimes.

I admire the critical analysis that went into that post.

Everything below is based on the assumption that we play no worse or no better than we have done all season. :? :? :? :-( :-(

Let us look at the situation realistically. Firstly after last night Forest effectively have to win four more games than us and get more points than us from their remaining two fixtures than we do from our remaining seven fixtures in order to finish in front of us. About as likely as us getting promoted this season. ;-)

That means that wherever we finish this season there will be two sides below us.

Fast forward to this Saturday. Should we beat Brighton then Brighton would have to win three more games than us from their remaining four fixtures and get more points from their one remaining fixture than us in order to finish in front of us. Again extremely unlikely. :P :P Should we win on Saturday then this would mean that wherever we finish this season there will be three sides below us.

In conclusion this Saturday is massive and a must win so that we can clinch our place in this Division as early as possible. We have our destiny very much in our own hands and to my eyes that is a long way from being in the mire. :P  ;-)

Oh shit, I just remembered that I had a dream last night about the forum.

Surely its best for two teams to be doomed than one?

Short sighted

No, because then there is still another team to go down - if they had drawn or forest had won then both clubs would be close to the drop. Now it's just Forest doomed with Coventry looking upwards and a handful of teams, including us, looking a bit vulnerable.

There's no way we're going down. :)

Hope not, stranger things have happened though - like lazzer turning down a jam doughnut.

Chill out Joe, we are fine. Its best we are only really vulnerable by one relegation spot rather than 2. If Forest had won last night there would still be 2 places remaining. Forest would also be full of confidence.

A win on Saturday and we are fine and Brighton will look in all sorts of trouble too.

This is the gist of my analysis as well. ;-)
