and Sylla wouldnt be arsed to even try to walk back from Sunderland.

Kisnorbo shouldn't be captain as he doesn't lead the team and i never see him shoutin on the pitch. McCarthy i think is probably the best option at the minute, but i would be happy with Gerrbs or Joey as captain. Mccarthy does act like the captain anyway as he gives playes a Bollocking if they mess up. Joey leads by example and works tirelessly. Gerrbrand has a load of skill and calmness on the ball and is probably our best defender but its his first season in english football and i think he should more just concentrate on his own game for now.

i think people are harsh on kisnorbo, i think he does an unglamouros job pretty well, hes not on the pitch to create - his one and only purpose is to make life difficult for the opposition in attack, pretty much the same job billy Mckinlay did so well.
also i think one reason for joeys superb form is that hes playing beside kisnorbo. the thing about joey is that hes not an out and out defensive midfielder, he wont simply run around tackling and giving 5 yard passes hes always liked to get forward, have a few shots and be a bit more ambitious in his play. last season he didnt look as good because he was meant to be the holding player so this cramped his natural game but with kisnorbo next to him hes free to play how he likes hence the 6 goals hes already banged in and the really good recent form. im happy with kisnorbo playing where he is and i think he can make as good a captain as anyone else we have - there are no obvious contenders because most players are both young and havent been at the club all that long

I think Joey has been playing well all season though, in the defensive and attacking role. When he's attacking you just notice it more... I wouldn't compare Kisnorbo to McKinlay as he could actually tackle and pass, neither of which I'm sure Kisnorbo can do.
