We played it last season with 2 short strikers (Hume and either Hammond or Fryatt, when he was fit). The Horse was too static to be effective for hoof, so maybe Cort, if fit, could be half decent.

I've just noticed ... It wasn't 'posted' on the OS by Martin Allen.

we need to get these free, low impact signings out of the way and sign some players who are going to give structure and a bit of ball retention and flair to the side.
Get the transfer fees out Milan.
I'm not getting optimistic til we have ANY midfield at all.

I get the feeling the club think this is a huge signing :icon_conf

Welcome in CC, let's hope MA can get the 'best out of you'..... If he does, then we're absolutely laughing,.

and if he doesnt or even if he does but Cort gets injured (which must be odds on) then he is another huge drain on resources sat in Dave Rennies office or out on loan somewhere.

Not without a midfield we aren't, at present we have wesolowski, newton and porter and mattock (unless i've forgotten somebody). We need at least 3 new quality midfielders.
No amount of injury prone pacey strikers with the first touch of an autistic virgin will mask the fact that we still have NO MIDFIELD.

haven't you heard about the new 5-5 formation for next season

Not sure about a 2 year contract, because as Durham says its likely he will get injured and could just been in the physio room for the duration of his contract.

Can't argue with his strike rate, 1 in 3 is impressive and if he can maintain that then he could turn into one of the bargains of the season. MA seems quite a technical manager when it comes to fitness so I am putting my faith in him and going to say that it is a good signing. Can't see him starting the first match but certainly provides us with a different option.
