I really do hate seeded draws though. Surely it defeats the whole object of a Cup Competition. I know the organisers want to see the big teams in the Final but surely if they are good enough they would make the Final anyway, seeded or not.

I think one of the reasons for seeding is to help the smaller clubs financially, it means they've got a better chance of getting a draw against a big team.

Thats fair enough, It is the World Cup Draw that pises me off the most. Surely the best team would be the one who plays good teams all the way through and still wins.

I posted that after the Macclesfield match, at that time there was a chance we could have played Villa. But the number of Championship clubs knocked out meant that we were seeded for the second round.

This really pisses me off. In things like the Champions League, it's to try to maximise revenue, especially in the latter stages. It does make you root for the underdog more though.

From what I can see all the premiership clubS and championship clubs have drawn lower league opposition.

That had to happen, because of the way it was seeded. There were 24 Prem/championship clubs and 24 lower division clubs left in the competition.
