Prefer Man City personally so we have a genuine shout at progressing. We can then have the glamour tie in the semis.

Seen this stat around but not on here unless I've missed it: Shakey only the third English manager to manage in the Champions League knockout stages (since football was invented of course). Sir Bobby and Redknapp the others.

We'd have a decent chance against any of Dortmund, Atletico or Man City/Monaco. Of those only Monaco are performing particularly well domestically and even then I'd question the quality of Ligue 1. Juventus wouldn't faze me either. Clearly a very good side but they don't face much competition domestically. They didn't sweep Sevilla aside with ease themselves in the group stage.

What a surreal thing to have typed.

Anyone but Atletico Madrid.

They are the one team who would know how to beat us at our own game.

They are like us but with so much class.

Give me a big boy and prey for complacency. The styles of these sides should suit us better.

Not that it matters, we've already won.

Atletico aren't my preferred opponents but there's definitely an attraction in playing them. The manner of our defeat by them in 1997 still rankles. The 13 year old Lee was gutted. Martin O'Neill's anger that night will resonate with all who watched or lived through that time.

It's also a pretty good time to be playing them. They're as weak as they have been for a few seasons and have looked unconvincing when I've seen them this season. Sevilla, although out of form, are better than them.

Monaco would be the worst from a ticket point of view. Also a hideous ground. But not bad from a football perspective

Think Man City got about a thousand, and they look like they're half a mile away from the pitch

Plus, there's an alcohol ban in the town....

....aaand Man City are out. Meaning Leicester fans are at least guaranteed another date on the European tour!

We go on alone, let down by the usual suspects it's up to Leicester to carry the English flag onto the next stage.

Ha! None of those other teams hold any fear for me -
Mind you, I won't actually be on the pitch trying to play against them, of course

Monaco are playing great football this year and are full of confidence. I hope we don't get them.

I was there and it still hurts when I think of it. Wasn't the ref banned afterwards? The only explanation for me was that he had been bribed.

I want us to beat Atletico Madrid in the final at Cardiff on penalties.
