Agreed. Will the greatness of Albrigton be remembered with the same fondness as Mahrez and Drinkwater? I doubt it.

Kante, I'm sure is immortalised.

People will have forgotten Marc within 5 years after he leaves.

i wont have done. the man's a ****ing hero

Talk to Forest fans who remember their European Cup winning teams, they can tell you everything about the weaker players (Frank Clark springs to mind) and tell you exactly how their contribution enabled the stronger players to play and was integral to the teams play. Albrigton will be remembered not just for great crosses and the occasional goal, but for the way he pulled players toward him before switching to Mahrez on the other side of the pitch and in space.

I suspect that says more about you than you'd care to admit.

I certainly won't.

Well I like him and have always championed him - so you clearly have already forgotten that. When I said "people" I meant "normal" people not we saddos who hang around on football websites. You are aware that we are a very very very small percentage of the football fans out there don't you?

Your posts are sometimes very bizarre.

It was pretty clear how your post read and I wasn't the only person to read it that way, evidently. If you didn't want it to come across like that, you should have worded it differently.

The fact I still remember fringe players from that MON squad - the likes of Impey, Zagorakis, Graham Fenton and Arnar Gunlaugsson, despite only being about 10 at the time - is enough proof to me that I won't forget last season's heroes for a long, long, long time.

Fair enough. I think that sometimes people on this site think every remark is aimed at them rather than a more general City supporter or Joe Public himself. I will try and fail to be clearer in future.

Back on subject - Atlético have a tough game the Saturday before (8th) against Real Madrid, I think we have a real chance to hold them to a draw and then beat them at home. Monaco in the semis, then Barca in the final, job done.
I'm going to the Granada vs Barca game next week to eye up our potential co-finalists.

Looks like the away tickets have all sold out (according to folks on Facebook).

hoping for a griezmann injury tonight.
