The view within football is that the FL got their FFP completely wrong in the initial years, making it far too stringent and without consideration for a number of factors/mitigations.

It's also very unlikely to stand up legally given the disparity between club's financial reporting and accounting estimates, meaning that there is little chance of QPR ever handing over a sum even close to the numbers being banded about.

They'll probably just drag it out in court for a few years, before they either settle or go into administration due to three successive relegations.

That's the biggest issue for the FL. Forest, Leeds and a couple others have already been done by FFP. They can't let QPR go unscathed as a result.
