Should be some valuable [insert other favourite] v Leicester season bets to be had. Wedging on somebody like Wolves finishing above us.

I thought it was easier to make money by just betting on a draw for every game.

Repeat until you have all the monies in the world.

Based on the fact that bookies set their prices to reflect their risk, it seems there are lot of idiots out there.o

Considering the fact that nobody knows what our line up will be next season, seems that the bookies are reckoning that we will will splash cash again and are, as Boc says reducing their risk at this stage, no doubt we will move out in the betting when the prospective transfers are complete, both in and out.

I am sorry, but I do not get it: you chaps have virtually cast me as a troll for saying that I do not think that Nigel Pearson will get us to the Premier League; now that the betting seems to support your views, that is wrong too! :102::icon_bigg

You don't get this forum, do you?! We'll argue about the colour of a red ball if we have to.

Although at present, anyone that thinks we're clear favourites with our current squad is almost as mad (imho) as you are. On paper we have a team and manager just as strong as 4/5 other teams. Doesn't mean that NP isn't the best man for the job, and he's certainly better than the previous incumbents.

The odds reflect money placed. We don't know the volume of money laid so it's difficult to predict the volatility of the odds pre-season. People will have put money on Leicester for various reasons; these are unlikely to include their admiration of the glorious football we played last season. I guess that punters take a view about which clubs are likely to be spending the most money. With Bolton, Blackburn & Wolves it looks like that their better players want out and it may well be that their owners are looking to reduce risks by being tight on the purse. With Leicester it seems that the owners are committed to continue defying gravity and will continue to invest. The Old Fox still is going on about NP and harks back to dear old Sven. Can he just remind me which club has snapped up Sven's services to guide them to the top of shop?

I imagine Sven is still being paid hansomely by your good selves so has no need to rush into another post.

Your owners will be looking for a big name as soon as Malky fails to get you automatic promotion by October with his 100m, don't forget.

5 teams in this division next season will be getting £16m parachute payments. that will be a lot more than we'll spend and i bet we'll still be known as big spending Leicester

It doesn't mean they'll spend all £16m. We'll be one of the biggest spending clubs if not the biggest spending club in the division this coming season.
