My other half sits in L1 and even he agrees that they are all utter c*cks in there.... he said it was the top half (the usual troublemakers) who were doing the chanting and he thought it was appalling...

I agree, however it's a balancing act, I personally think we need L1 to ensure we keep at least some atmosphere. Ideally they should enlarge that area, move those over from the Kop who want to sing thus making the scum element a small part of a big unit. This would improve the atmosphere and remove the chavs influence IMO.

Unfortunately I dont think it is the Chav's influence though, some of the "fans" at the top are men in their mid to late 40's who really should know better, but still think they are the "top boys" and can take on the world... sad feckers.

Whoever they are, their influence can be nullified by flooding the area with people from the Kop who sing thus improving the atmos at the same time.

i don't see why, if they are considering this, they just shut the top half of the section...

then they get told there are no ST avaliable in the bottom half(depending on the size of the allocation we might have to move for cup matches anyway) wouldn't be enough seats for those to move into anyways.

if they can ban the prats then great.
but i don't think it's fair on the ones who are in that section cos they like the banter between the opposition fans if they close the entire wing.

they should release photos and cctv of the idiots, so that they are shamed into not going by us normal fans

Moronic children should be treated as such, take away their season tickets / stop them getting into the ground for a specified period of time (10 games?) then let them return knowing that if they step out of line again the ban will increase to a season and then to life.
