I was reading a Bill Bryson book the other day and he mentioned it, amazing when useless knowledge pays off!

The primary meaning of the word gay has changed dramatically during the 20th century—though the change evolved from earlier usages. It derives via the Old French gai, probably from a Germanic source.[1] The word originally meant "carefree", "happy", or "bright and showy" and was very commonly used with this meaning in speech and literature. For example, the title of the 1938 ballet aptly named Gaîté Parisienne ("Parisian Gaiety"), a patchwork compiled from Jacques Offenbach's operettas, illustrates this connotation.

primary: prat, twat, spaz, spaz attack
secondary: bell-end, gaylord
university: mong, flid (thalidomide), sausage jockey, shirt-lifter
lately: cock badger, ****tard, ass-hat

Shit! I know people often say they "just spat their tea out" when they've read someone funny but I doubt they actually did. Well, I actualy just spat a big gulp of coffee out when I read that.

Operation clean-up now then - thanks Darth.

Don't have a spaz attack! HAHAHAHA!!!

gimp, shaft, bell wipe,

one I've heard alot of quite recently is 'pe-narse'.. what's that all about?

Vinnie Jones says it in either Snatch or Lock Stock. I assume it's a combination of penis and arse? :102: Still, sounds funny when you say it!

When you see a couple of girls walking together you couldnt resist screaming its the " Hoooooo Train choooo cooooooooo"

If someone was lying we would rub our chin and say "chin-on, I've got a green beard growing". No idea what that meant.

Queer was another one and that was also followed by "you back-shot your brother you queer..."

As has been mentioned already, spag, flid, spacker, mooey the toenail (???), gay-bo and others were all terms of abuse at my school.

when i was a little lad my favourite insult was the word ****

so there

it's the look of disgust on everyones faces, brilliant.
I still will never understand why so many people find it more offensive than the other swear words that denote the sexual reproduction and urinary area.

TBH, I don't care. If they choose to take greater offence at being called a "****" than anything else, then I'm more than happy for them to do so.
