so if f****t have concerts at the city ground, how can they do it when , lets be honest , it aint a very good stadium and still has an old cattle shed for the main stand. were just being fed utter bollox again.
on the stadium location , when the chinese have used all the oil up in 5 years time we'll all still be able to walk to the walkers stadium.

As I recall there was originally going to be a new station near the ground, but the re-opening of the old Burton line never got started.

i think the club also has problems though in the stadium location-its not got easy access to it for parking etc

no worse than the MK bowl.

I said at the begining they should have flattened LFE and built the stadium there.
Close to the M1, good bus service to and from the city. Excellent site for a stadium, plus we also get rid of the rif raf at LFE......

No point. We haven't got enough fans to fill his garden.

I just find it a little strange that they say its not up to spec, then they try and organise a concert (with a woeful line up - sorry Lazz) and then because its a flop they go back to the line about it being not up to standard.... very very odd :icon_roll

They can have concerts with a limited capacity to meet the regs, around 14k, that was the limit on the concerts that fell through

Its just bollux again...... Before the fecking place was built talk was of having concerts and the like there to bring in more revenue. This was one of the main reasons the ground was not built on the other proposed site where Mawby and King used to be, the noise generated by football crowds and pop concerts. You dont build a stadium of our size with the intention of using it for other entertainment and then finding out you cannot, it does not make sense.

No I think there is another reason which is not being told.

It is true & was a cost cutting measure taken by the previous regime.

:icon_eek: its all bob,my band have just done a gig at the tigers ground with liberty x (dont ask) and we are doing another one in oct! how come they can do it? city dont know how to go about it thats what i think

Or maybe beacuse the tigers ground is older it can get away with using older building regulations for vibration. :icon_wink

If the tiggers develope thier ground they may have the same problems we have, or the other possibility is that the timber construction of the tigers ground is less sucseptible to airborn caused vibrations.

Or maybe the Tigers quite fancy having gigs at their ground?
