At least he is on loan. :102:

How many times must we hear this shite FFS ? :icon_roll

It is utterly irrelevant

Both Savage and Lennon were highly rated, and highly scouted, in a pretty decent Crewe team

Izzett was a permanent fixture in Chelsea reserves, but couldn't get a game because of the regime at the time - again highly rated and frequently scouted

Elliott was a gamble from the lower leagues - some you win (like him) and some you lose, like Benjamin, Lewis, Delaney etc. etc.etc. and all the other muppets we have signed over the past few years

For every Elliott there is a dozen Andy Welsh's etc. :icon_roll

Elliott too was much scouted, I remember O'Neill saying at the time we signed him that every club in the land was on the verge of signing him at one time but never happenede for one reason or another.

None of those mentioned were gambles IMO.

Clarke is 27 years old, and has played in this league before so thats some experience at left back, and in front of him we have hayes so the left side just got a stronger, least that experience is going to be there, and mattock can prob learn from him which might be the reason he is here for 3 months so it gives time for mattock to mature a little, the team are still going through the gelling process, hopefully it happends sooner then later

Yes, lets criticise before we have even seen him play. Oh what a bunch of fans we are....

You are missing the point, it seems to be quite en vogue around here at the moment.

If he turns out to be a decent player then great, we are merely saying we havent heard of him so therefore there is a little apathy towards the signing at present.

Yet frequently quoted by dickcheeses at every opportunity as proof positive that signing no-marks is always a great thing

i think we still need another winger because hayes is only young and it will be a big ask for him to play every game this season.

No one has criticised him - only a complete twat would pass comment on whether he was a great signing or a disastrous signing without ever actually hearing of the bloke before today

The point being made is that he is a complete unknown - so we are merely therefore being an honest 'bunch of fans' rather than deluded fools

Just look at his record. The player says he can do a job in the fizzy, his record says otherwise. :102:

200 odd games for stoke?

14 games with fizzy Clubs (3 lots of time "on loan" :icon_roll) in the last two years. Moreover most of his 200 appearances for Stoke would have come before they were promoted to the fizzy. :icon_conf

He's a left back, what people were asking for. On loan. What do people expect? Apparently Cashley wasn't prepared to take the wage cut. I do despair at times, I really do.
