I believe I alluded to something similar in another thread. What worries me though is are we going to be stuck with Sousa no matter how poorly he performs as a manager, simply because he was the first choice of our money men?

How bad do we have to become as a team for them to accept they were wrong and do something about it?

I know MM is no stranger to the managerial merry go round, but it seems that he's no longer pulling the strings

Worrying times if appointments are being made on image rather than ability.

I think Pearson has been treated poorly, however the reason for the timing of his exit is pretty clear, it was an opportunity to lose Pearson without the negative publicity that would have been associated had he been sacked by the new consortium off the back of two very successful seasons.

Truth is whilst Pearson is an excellent manager, he simply desn't have the profile or marketability that Sousa offers. However I do not blame Sousa for this and will continue to support him, but I am not particuarly proud or happy with how the club has treated Pearson.

Totally agree with this. They must have thought PS would take us to the next level, and maybe he will. I was very disapointed by the way Pearson was 'shoved out the door' shall we say, and maybe it has something to do with these investors. Judging by our start, our worst start in the league for 14 years, PS seems to be a bad appointment. But lets see if he can turn this around, if not, then we should seriously look to replacement else were in for a relegation dogfight.

Milan will do what he did at portsmouth, fire Sousa and Hire back Pearson, i am sure all the Pearson haters will be w**king themself

Basically Top said he wanted Pearson out and Sousa in - that or it's all off - I get what I want or there will be no takeover and no money.

Did your source say whether it is really all on, and if there is actually any money?

I think that maybe there is more to it than this.

Maybe they sat down with NP and talked over the future of the club, and with his "im in charge" ego matching up against their "were bringing in an unknown Jap" attitude it just ended in him walking away.

It is possible they had conversations leading up to the take over and did not get on or were not aligned in their visions for the future of Leicester or what influence Top would have on things like signings and team selection

Yeah this is possibly nearer the truth.

'tis all believable, but Paulo Sousa :102:

Why the feck would the consortium want him - hardly a big name manager, is he ?

Bizarre

I've no reason to believe it isn't 'all on' and that the money is there. And no, I don't know the identity of the 'investor yet to be announced'.

Surely until the identity of the 'unknown investor' is known, the takeover can't go ahead. :102:

I was just about to post that. We must show complete transparency and yet we still have the mystery benefactor.

Its all part of tops plan-get rid of pearson, bring in sousa, fans get restless, sign waggy then Pearson gets ill, quits hull, sousa gets sacked, Pearson comes back, tops a hero, city in premierleague with King Power blasted all over the shop.

Obviously.

Oh dear!

I am not, for a moment, doubting Boc's info' and, I agree that it provides the best explanation of the known facts: however, I have an awful feeling that this may be starting a "hate the new owners" mentality.

Milan, may have been right or wrong in what he has done for this club, so far, but he is undoubtedly out of pocket and has put in a lot of his time: the thanks he gets is to be criticised each time we do not sign some improbable target, or do sign someone of less than international status.

I can understand the ego boost of owning Manchester United but, Leicester City owner seems, to me, to be a thankless task!

The way I understand it, the King Power lot are buying in now and the unknown investor is buying in later on terms that have already been agreed.

All I can do is pass on the information. I have no wish to start a 'hate the new owners faction'. People will make their minds up on the information available to them, having first made their own assessment of the reliability thereof.

Personally I feel very thankful for Milan Mandaric's intervention and for his support of the club. I'm less certain about the steps he is having to take as part of his exit strategy.

Not really - we all want answers

We have gone from being a very solid Championship team which got pipped at the Play-Offs, and for whom the future (for once) looked exceptionally bright, and where (for the first time in ages) the fans seemed to be connecting with both the players and the manager - to a rag-tag bunch of unhappy, apparently uncoached and unfit, rabble of players who look like relegation fodder and who can't defend to save their lives

And yes, I'm aware of how many games we have played, but the contrast is a stark one - it's only normal that, as football fans, we simply want to understand how on earth we have gone from where we were, to where we are now

The answer is not a pretty one

Can't see him being out of pocket if the £39 million figure for the sale is in any way true.
