I have a number of problems with Boc's scenario. Apparently LCFC wanted NP out. Fair enough, but hold on a minute, he wasn't sacked, he walked out. Why didn't he hold on to be sacked, or for constructive dismissal, and then get a nice little payout ( I believe he was on a one year rolling contract ). He's a proud man, why would he effectively do LCFC's bidding? It would have also avoided Hull having to pay compensation to LCFC, money that may have gone on NP's wages at Hull. Finally, very shortly before NP left Lee Hoos was in serious negotiations to bring James Harper to LCFC, a player NP admires and wanted at Leicester. Why would Hoos do this if he was trying to ease NP out? If that was the case would it have not been better for him to say he ( Hoos ) and MM didn't fancy Harper and NP would have to look elsewhere, hoping NP would take umbrage in clear off. Interestingly, once NP jumped ship Harper pitched up at Hull, the negotiations with LCFC having come to a grinding halt as we did not have a manager.

All is not as it seems I think, and perhaps there are certain factions at LCFC stirring it a bit, shall we say. No doubt some people at the club feel a little less secure in their jobs now there is a new owner and for their own reasons are trying to destabalise the club. Just guessing, of course.

It's not my scenario.

No. The people buying the club wanted NP out.

Ever heard of 'compromise agreements'? It's usual that a term of the agreement is that neither party can talk about its contents or even tell of its existence. Such an agreement might include the "nice little payout" that you mention.

If you look back, you will find posts of mine where I poured scorn on the idea that NP was pushed out. The information that I received recently is entirely at odds with what I said then and from a wholly credible source.

Faie enough, but then again the James Harper episode doesn't make any sense at all if NP was being pushed out. It certainly came as a complete surprise to those involved in the negotiations, and this was only about a week before NP jumped ship. And that information is also from an entirely credible source. Ah well, you pays your money and takes your choice.

I'd be fairly sure Pearson didn't know he was going at that stage either.

Perhaps, MM's meddling intensified that week to the point that NP had enough. Same thing happened at Portsmouth with MM and Harry Redknapp.

A tale from someone the other side of the world about the recollections of an octogenarian?

There's 'credible and there's 'more proof please' :icon_lol:

Hey now! I won't have a bad word said against the boc. He might be a doddery, old, bearded octogenarian, in shorts, but he don't make up stuff. He just gets a bit confused sometimes.

You may be making the mistake of believing that sexagenarians have but one ear.

As I suggested in the OP, you can choose whether to believe it or not.

The word 'sexagenarian' really is one of those words that should mean something other than it actually does!

So we're all in agreement then?
Doing lines of coke off Kylie Minogue's naked belly is a good thing, especially if she's wearing Poison by Christian Dior
