Everyone says our right side is shipping all the goals but Kristiansen seems to be blamed all the time. Don't understand! I know Justin is a shadow of what he used to be.

Both of the full backs have been pretty awful, but the right hand side weakness is due to the 'tactics' being deployed in Cooper's masterplan

Justin has been pants all season, but most of the blame lies with 'ze system', not the player - he's being asked to play right back, right wing back and right winger all in the same game. It's ****ing ludicrous

Could someone please explain to me how the group who brought us Enzo Maresca could think that Cooper would be a suitable replacement.

I was quite excited when we appointed Maresca. I didn't know much about him, but he seemed to be very different to what we were used to. A bold and exciting choice.

Forward 12 months. It reminds me of John Major in the nineties with his "Let's get back to basics" policy and look what happened to him at the next election. Cooper takes us back 20 years. It is as if all the technical and tactical improvements in the last 20 years hadn't happened. It is back to basics with 11 men playing against 11 men and may the better "team" win.
Let's not forget the circumstances of his appointment, Cooper was clearly the second choice and the cheap choice. We wanted to appoint Potter, but he turned us down late into the process. That lateness seemed like an alarmbell to me, and will have been to potential recruits - what problem could have caused that? Hard to imagine that it's the sign of well run club which will allow a manager's career to flourish though, is it? Coupled with what was expected to be a points deduction, who would think they could make their name at Leicester?
Secondly, not having to pay compensation for a manager in work was clearly important as were still struggling with the PSR books, so will have cut down the number of applicants who might be considered for the job. Carlos Corberan (West Brom) was linked, and I can see how he might have been a better bridge from Maresca, but finding the money to get him and his team would likely have seen us delaying getting someone in - it might simply have not been possible.

I find it utterly bizarre that all fans want really is a manager who sees the obvious problems on the pitch and appears to be doing something about them.

Somehow there is only a tiny clutch of football managers who can actually do this. Odd.

Football management is all smoke and mirrors.

Most managers are thick as pigshit.

After 11 games it looks increasingly like there is going to be a mini league of 7 teams looking to stay out of that bottom 3. Of that league of 7 currently we're well placed. I think it's too early to say whether he will be successful. He's not had a chance to have a fair crack of the whip. If you are an Ipswich fan now are you saying the same thing about McKenna?

Cooper has come in to a club which, despite being promoted, had a huge black cloud hanging over them at the start of the season. Nobody honestly expected us to stay up. At the minute, we're holding our own. Its easy to get bogged down in negativity when things aren't looking like 2015/16 but being realistic this kind of dogfight is surely what we all expected and we have every chance of staying up the way things are going.

He needs more time in my opinion.

This is Ipswich who appear to be working on the things they are shit at, with some signs of progress, no?

Noticeable that other, ambitious clubs like Roma and Hoffenheim have realised that now is the time in the season to replace lame ducks. Will we?

In what way? in that they won their last game?

Look - don't get me wrong - it all seems a bit depressing at the minute as that last game was dreadful... All I'm saying is that I don't think he has had long enough to prove himself yet and the task was never going to be one where he came in and found the magic solution instantly.

I've no problem with peopel disliking xG but this is Ipswich's first 6 games

they are also gelling their new players in well - Szmodics looks a smart buy and Delap also looks good.

I am starting to think they will survive. We on the the other hand are getting worse.

You’re wasting your breath with this lot mate. Not even the West Ham fans who are only 2 points ahead of us want their manager out as much as our entitled bunch do.

There’s no way Ipswich finish above us this season.

Who is 'this lot' please?

I don't think anyone wants him out, they want him to adapt, to LEARN and to implement the learnings.

To concede umpteen goals down one side of the pitch due to the set up is unacceptable game after game after game. You could level that Enzo didn't learn or change, but there are two distinct (possibly three) differences:

1) We were top for most, if not all of the season.
2) The system made sense, we weren't shipping goals game after game from the same spaces. The system was understandable and successful, even if as you and others suggest, not exactly riveting all of the time.
3) You need to be more adaptable in the PL as you can't adopt the same approach to Southampton as you can to Man City.

People want him gone now because they are convinced he is not learning and this trajectory only takes you one way.

No one expected a win at Man United, but some sort of performance was required. We got nothing positive from that game at all. Cooper may have also lost the dressing room and if so, this is curtains for him sooner or later.

There were many mistakes but overall I didn’t think it was too bad, and about what I expected to be honest.

Also not convinced Cooper has lost the dressing room, personally. We wouldn’t have seen the fightbacks we’ve seen recently if the players weren’t giving their all for him.

I’m not sure this makes sense
Perhaps if you took the time to read the whole post and made the effort to comprehend it? Selective quoting is though easier for you.
